Join me on Saturday, October 10th, from 6 to 9 p.m. for my opening reception of Reimagined, One Piece at a Time.

This is a collection featuring my exploration into collage. You'll discover rich textures, unexpected colors, and lots of fun, creative choices. Experience new art and old; reimagined.

“Personal Space” describes what it sometimes feels like in a crowded space with no escape.

Being an introvert (yes, I am!) it can be exhausting at times. Yet, if I am teaching anywhere, I am fine! The more people, the better!

Then I need my personal space back to re-energize.

Cobbler House was painted during my Artist Residency in Dinan, France. I painted as many of the half timber homes as I could during my time there. Cobbler House now lives in the home of a friend, Danny Gregory! What a great place to be. Thanks Danny!

“Icelandic Bouquet”. I love the way flowers can become something completely different when you stop trying to paint them perfectly. This piece is all about color, pattern, and letting the individual shapes and textures play together.

Leaves, berries, petals, seed pods, each little detail became part of a bigger, almost fantastical bouquet.

And, as always, I had the most fun getting lost in the details.

This started as a watercolor painting of a beautiful path to the beach. The path was beautiful but my painting was not. To fix this, I collaged over it. I found some perfect papers in my stack of Gelli prints. Next thing I know, THIS happened!

This was part of a Summer Challenge with my Studio Time students past and present. There were so many creative paintings at the reveal party and everyone had a blast. We will be doing this again!
